After picking him up from the airport, we went to Mass and Adoration at my home parish in Colorado Springs. The next day, Danny took me on a train ride through the Royal Gorge. We went out to take photos on the train, and while posing for photos, he knelt down and asked me to marry him! We called our families and shared the news with everyone before heading to dinner at my friend's house where I thought we'd be surprising them with the news of our engagement. Little did I know that Danny and my friends had already planned the surprise engagement party. They even made my favorite foods from home! Just when I thought he couldn't surprise me anymore, Danny shared that he had planned a sunrise engagement photoshoot at Garden of the Gods.
